2026 rate · Dr. Olga González, El Poblado, Medellín. Free consultation and 15-day review included. Per-unit figures are estimates over orienting doses: you pay for what is applied, so if your real dose is smaller you pay less.

There is no closed «full face» price here, deliberately: what that phrase includes changes from clinic to clinic. We quote by adding the areas actually being treated, which is the only way the number means the same thing when you compare it.

How you can pay

Cash, debit card and credit card are all accepted. If you pay by credit card you can split the charge into instalments at the terminal, under your own bank's plan and its interest — that is set by your bank, not by the practice.

Two things worth knowing before you come:

Charges are made in Colombian pesos. If you pay with a card issued outside Colombia, your bank applies its own exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee, so the amount on your statement will differ slightly from the dollar figures above.

Why the number of units decides everything

«One zone» is a container, not a dose. Two clinics can both quote «frown lines» and one apply 20 units and the other 8. The second one charges less, the effect lasts the patient half as long, and over a year they will have paid more.

Here the two ways of charging give almost the same number, and that is checkable. One zone of the upper third takes around 20 units: at $18,000 per unit that would be $360,000, and the one-zone package costs $350,000. The difference appears when you group zones, and it favours the patient.

PackagePricePer zoneEquivalent per unit
One zone$350,000$350,000approx. $17,500
Two zones$650,000$325,000approx. $16,200
Three zones$850,000$283,000approx. $14,200

That last column is what you use to compare. Ask any other clinic for their total and the units it includes, divide, and put it against these figures. It is the one comparison that cannot be dressed up.

Where a low price stops adding up

There is a floor you can calculate. A 100-unit vial of original product costs the clinic between $700,000 and $1,100,000. The roughly 20 units of one zone are therefore $140,000 to $220,000 in product alone, before consultation, supplies or the medical act.

With that arithmetic in front of you the line is fairly clear: below about $180,000 per zone there is no room for original product applied by a physician. When a price drops under that, the difference comes out of one of four places — excessive dilution, a vial reconstituted days earlier, product without INVIMA registration, or application by non-medical staff.

If you have been reading English-language guides, you may have seen the advice to be wary of anything under $400,000 COP per zone. Our price is $350,000 and it sits comfortably above the product floor — the guides that quote $400,000 are describing the El Poblado retail range, which includes the rent of a medical tower and a margin sized for medical tourists. The number that tells you whether a price is real is the one above: cost of product per unit applied. Ask for the units, do the division, and you will not need a rule of thumb.

How it compares with the Medellín market

TreatmentMedellín market · 2026At this practice
One zone of the upper third$250,000 – $1,200,000$350,000
Two zones$500,000 – $2,000,000$650,000
Full upper third$700,000 – $1,800,000$850,000
Price per unit$15,000 – $32,000$18,000

Ranges publicly observed in Medellín in 2026. Not official third-party rates.

This sits in the lower half of the market without entering the band where the product arithmetic stops working. It is not the cheapest in the city and does not aim to be: below a certain point what gets cut is either the product or the person applying it.

The gap with the United States is three to four times, and it does not come from the product being different: the Allergan vial is the same in Medellín as in Miami. It comes from the cost of the medical act and the rent. If the trip is specifically for treatment, the medical tourism page covers timing and what to plan for.

What it costs per year, which is what matters

Botox is not a one-off expense. With three applications a year, a well-dosed frown-line treatment works out cheaper than four or five badly dosed sessions at the supposedly low price. The calculation worth doing is the annual one, not the per-session one.

There is also a compounding effect in your favour: with regular sessions the muscle partly atrophies from disuse, and many patients need fewer units by the second or third year and can space sessions further apart. Annual spend goes down over time if the treatment was done properly from the start.

Diagram of product cost: a 100-unit vial costs the clinic 700,000 to 1,100,000 pesos, 20 units come to 140,000-220,000, and the real floor for one zone is 180,000 pesos
The vial arithmetic. Below $180,000 per zone there is no room for original product applied by a physician.

Frequently asked questions

?How much is botox in Medellín?
One zone of the upper third of the face is $350,000 COP, about USD 110. Two zones are $650,000 COP and all three $850,000 COP. Anything outside those areas is charged at $18,000 COP per unit of Botox. Consultation is free and the 15-day review is included.
?Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. Cash, debit card and credit card are all accepted, and a credit card charge can be split into instalments at the terminal under your own bank plan and its interest. Charges are made in Colombian pesos.
?How many units of botox will I need?
Frown lines usually take 16 to 24 units, the forehead 8 to 16, and crow’s feet 8 to 16 per side. Masseters take the most, 20 to 30 per side. The exact dose is decided after seeing your face in movement and is given to you in writing before anything is applied.
?Why is your price lower than other clinics in El Poblado?
Because the retail range in El Poblado includes the rent of a medical tower and a margin sized for medical tourists. The floor that matters is the cost of product: a 100-unit vial costs a clinic $700,000 to $1,100,000, so 20 units are $140,000 to $220,000 in product. At $350,000 there is comfortable room for original product applied by a physician.
?Is the price the same for foreigners?
Yes. There is no separate rate for patients from abroad. The price is the same one published on this page and it is charged in Colombian pesos.
