Baby botox is not a different product or a different area. It is a dosing philosophy: roughly half the units, distributed across more injection points, aiming to soften movement rather than stop it.
What it actually is
Standard glabellar dosing is 16 to 24 units. A baby botox approach to the same area might use 8 to 12, spread over more points so the reduction is even rather than patchy.
The result is a face that still moves, with the depth of the fold reduced. For people who found standard dosing too heavy, or who work in front of a camera, or who simply do not want anyone to be able to tell, that is the point.
What it is not: a beginner's version, or a safer version. The safety profile is the same. It is a different aesthetic target.
The honest trade-off on price
Here is the part that is usually left out. A micro-dose does not cost proportionally less, and it does not last as long.
The zone packages are priced per zone, not per unit — $350,000 COP for one zone whether it takes 10 units or 20. And a half dose typically gives two to three months rather than three to four. So per month of effect, baby botox is more expensive, not less.
That is a fine trade if what you are buying is preserved expression. It is a bad trade if you chose it thinking it was the economical option, which is how it is frequently sold.
What baby botox costs
| Baby botox | Price | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|
| One zone | $350,000 COP | USD 110 |
| Two zones | $650,000 COP | USD 200 |
| Three zones | $850,000 COP | USD 265 |
Same zone pricing as standard dosing. If your dose is small enough that per-unit billing works out cheaper, we will tell you and charge that way instead.
Consultation is free and the 15-day review is included. The full rate for every area is on the price page.
Is preventive botox real?
Partly, and the honest version is more limited than the marketing.
What is true: a line that stops being folded thousands of times a day takes longer to become static. Someone who starts treating a strong frown at 30 will, at 45, have a shallower static line than they otherwise would.
What is oversold: the idea that everyone in their twenties should start. If you have no dynamic lines forming, there is nothing to prevent, and you are paying to treat a problem you do not have yet. The sensible trigger is not an age — it is a line that has started to linger after the expression has finished.
There is a real long-term effect worth knowing: with regular treatment the muscle partly atrophies from disuse, so many patients need fewer units and can space sessions further apart by the second or third year. Annual cost goes down rather than up.
