Restylane® is not one product but a family. Asking «how much is Restylane» is like asking how much a car costs: it depends which, and which depends on the area.

What it is and who makes it

Restylane® is a line of hyaluronic acid fillers from Galderma, in clinical use since the 1990s — one of the families with the most accumulated literature in the sector. The hyaluronic acid is of non-animal origin, obtained by bacterial fermentation, which removes the risk of a reaction to animal protein.

What separates references within the family is how the gel is processed. Some keep particles of a defined size, giving firmness and structural support; others are processed into a more homogeneous, flexible gel that integrates better in areas of movement. Neither is better: they solve different problems.

Which reference belongs in each area

NeedGel typeWhere it is used
Projection and supportFirm, defined particleCheekbone, chin, jaw angle
Fold correctionMedium densityNasolabial folds, marionette lines
Lip volume and shapeFlexible, smooth integrationLip body, Cupid’s bow
Thin-skin areasFluid, low water affinityTear trough, fine lines

The exact reference is decided at the consultation and written into the quote along with the batch number. If you are not told which reference will be used, you cannot compare that price with any other, nor know what you were given.

Health registration and traceability

Branded fillers legally marketed in Colombia carry INVIMA registration. That is what shows the product came through the formal channel, with cold chain and traceability.

What you can ask for without troubling anyone serious: to see the box before it is opened, for the syringe to be opened in front of you, and for the batch number to be recorded in your notes. That label is your only proof of what was applied, and it is what is needed if a delayed reaction ever has to be investigated.

What it costs

Filler is not quoted by «area» but by product and volume, and for a reason worth understanding before you compare: two people with the same complaint can need 1 ml and 4 ml. A closed per-area price that does not say how many millilitres it includes cannot be compared with anything — the same problem as botox units.

How it works here:

Payment: cash, debit card and credit card, with the option to split into instalments at the terminal under your own bank plan.

Frequently asked questions

?What is Restylane®?
A family of hyaluronic acid fillers from Galderma, in clinical use since the 1990s. The hyaluronic acid is non-animal, obtained by fermentation, and the product is reversible with hyaluronidase like any other in its class.
?What is the difference between Restylane references?
How the gel is processed. Some keep particles of a defined size and give firmness and projection; others are more homogeneous and flexible and integrate better where there is movement. That is why one reference goes in the cheek and another in the lip.
?Does Restylane have INVIMA registration?
Branded fillers legally marketed in Colombia do. You can ask to see the box before it is opened and to have the batch number recorded in your notes.
?Can Restylane be dissolved?
Yes, like any hyaluronic acid filler: with hyaluronidase, and the effect shows within hours.
